saw lots of videos of it beforehand so knew what to expect lol. buttons are on the stiff side

also progre tango is a 42 now no wonder I couldn't find it in the 41s

Nice job! Are there any songs/charts you feel just don't work well with the stiff buttons? I always had trouble with them on scaley crap but since you're like a step above me it would help to know which 41s/42s/43s to avoid at the upcoming SVGL tourney (assuming they don't change the switches)

songs with a lot of jacks are the only thing I wouldn't play maybe. can't think of any examples so that's just based on playing sran on the machine which is tiring

but yeah hard to say since everyone feels differently about the buttons it seems. if you've practiced ubertreffen or whatever a lot they're not stiff enough that I'd downright avoid it

edit: screen is harder than it should be I think lol

I would avoid anything that requires moving around (Rinascita for the upper end, maybe stuff like enka remix, hottest party, psychedelic trance, MOON?) since you can get "stuck" on your way to the next button or be moving too quickly and not have enough force to depress the button completely.

But then again Scale Out pretty much requires you to move as quick as those at a higher density, so who knows.
I pick out machines soft enough to press 1/9 with my pinky effortlessly. 8)

24 on toycon is so hot
I'm still stuck on scale out, but to me it seems like Silent is just a separate game you have to practice Silent to beat

is it just that one part before the end chords that drops your gauge? scale out is easier for clearing than niente to me but idk if people agree

also for silent I wonder if playing it on random until you get a slapping random and hoping you can mash through the end would work. or that+use a piece of paper or something since I guess the alternative is memorize it which sounds less fun than playing it on random all day

also random hiprock3 thinghttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfHghZLJCNU

It's basically the entire song that kills me. I can make it to the red, but then that part before the end that involves sliding your right hand all over 5+7 6+8 7+9 destroys me and so does the very end. My best isn't even under 40 bads so I'm not too close to beating it. Not in a rush though; I know I need to just JAM HARDER on everything and it'll all help out with Scale Out eventually.

As for silent, I don't think I've ever heard of anyone trying to get their first clear on random. I do agree on memorization being utterly boring though.

hardest thing about niente is avoiding playing it a lot when you have between 30 and 50 misses, because that will only lead to bad habits and stuff

btw trancerance is one of the best charts to play on random; it's basically what gave me the hip rock 3 clear

What the hell is with the 4x ojama on fantasia. It feels more like 4.5x or something.

ojama HS has always been actual multipliers (ojama 2x = HS2.4, ojama 4x = HS4.8)
meaning that HS4 is actually not 4x the scroll speed, but 3.33x
BUT only if you use the ojama with HS0. Throw in HS3+ojama2x and you get plain old HS6 speed.

noroemo is supposedly easier on mirror
I guess the crucial part is that goddamn 35353434 part at the end, which becomes right handable on mirror

aaaaa fungi i owe you one cuz the 4x ojama is amazing

like i got 4 bars from clearing progre tango, ending dicked me over
also cleared trauma punk
lowered grunge des to like 63 bads but that is not happening anytime soon EESH
these were all on HS0 ojama4x

i feel like i can take down most 41s with a bit more practice. although i flatlined core rock with 40 bads...fuck that song to hell

also i shit a 63k clear out on cyber metal with the 2x ojama. i thought it would be like, 3.33x speed but it wasnt. sudden mad squinting

Be careful with the 4x ojama though; it'll make songs that start early (metallic saga etc) impossible to time for the first few notes.
Core Rock is a killer; it was one of my last 41s.

Mad squinting reminds me of the time I accidentally put cyber gagaku on 3.5x instead of 2.5x, and ended up using half speed to get 1.75x. That was not fun.
