I enjoy buying games for $5-10 and then trading them in to GameStop during their 50% extra credit deals for way more than I paid. $95 in credit and I have no idea what to get. Armored Core 5 is pretty much all multiplayer so that's out, the new Yakuza isn't very good, I don't want Mass Effect 3, don't really feel like buying SSX with it rapidly dropping in price all over the place already. Guess I just hold out until Gravity Rush or something.

Part of me wishes I didn't get Kid Icarus right away because I could have gotten that for free but oh well, game is super awesome with the funniest dialogue in a game in a long time, and I got the 3D Classics KI and amazon price matched the BB $29.99 price so I got $10 back anyway.

I bought it because it was $10 (plus $5, but I had Bing points), and I figured it wouldn't hurt to throw a little money at the studio / genre / Akira Yamaoka. I'm not super sure how I feel about it. The over the top narrative is amusing enough, but some of the bullets are really hard to see, I don't like when terrain is a bigger enemy than enemies, and (like every other horizontal shooter I've ever played aside from DeathSmiles 1 and 2) there's a bit too much dead time. Also, you can't reassign fire to anything other than A. If I were playing on a stick that wouldn't matter, but my stick is loud, and it's late...

the hard to see bullets feel like less of a thing to me after playing the game some more but yeah they could could definitely be easier to see. also it's more challenging and the levels are more fun to learn (on insane at least) compared to other xbla horizontal shmups like omega 5 and trouble witches neo imo

having to restart when you don't get good powerup luck is the worst thing so far I think

unconfigurable controls on shmups in the year 2012 is fuckin inexcusable imo

Oh right, Trouble Witches exists, I keep forgetting. I probably like Trouble Witches more too, but I've played it more. It's definitely less unique, but it's enjoyable enough.
