I haven't been to round 1 but I think they use LCDs, right?

For a game like IIDX I prefer CRTs unless the notes don't blur on the LCD display.

Depends. Is it fully unlocked? If not don't bother.

Supernova 2 unlocked is a good game, yeah. I'm not a huge fan of the newer chart designs in general, though that's just personal preference.

Supernova2 gave me hope for DDR before they fucked up again with DDR X. The only flaws I can see with SN2 are that they go full blast with the BPM gimmicks and lots of misrated charts (Especially with the boss songs, paranoia hades expert is not a 9!). Overall though it's a very solid release.

If round one wants all my money they should probably get an import DDR X3 though.

I think I said elsewhere, but if a local arcade got an import X3 cab (and could actually get the system updates and whatnot, for unlocks down the line), I'd be all over that shit. And Round 1 would be a stop every time I'm in Cali (less than I used to be, but still enough!).

SuperNOVA 2 is the reason my Bemani interest shifted from DDR to pop'n music.

So the new round1 in Moreno Valley got an import X3

Hopefully this round1 that's nearer to actual civilization will get one too. It'll probably be locked but at least you can play X2 songs on non-betson pads.

and I seen a rumor that round1 may try to get their X3 on official e-amuse... round 1 bemani games aren't unlocked right? they don't seem too keen on unlocking things

also, c/d round 1 got rid of their pop'n redemption game lolol

Damn, that's 45 minutes from my parents' place. Much further than the other R1, but IMPORTED X3 well okay I'll probably try it out next time I'm there

So I went last weekend after not going to arcades for like the whole summer, those IIDX cabs are really good. The bass platform actually works and those turntables were pretty loose. The LCD TV wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be, probably helps that it's the custom made one for IIDX so no lag or blown up upscaling. Super arcade still has the edge though due to having programmed world and they let you use chairs, just a shame it's so far from me. The jubeat machine is in hilariously bad condition and without e-amuse it's a joke. The P2 pad on X2 is in surprisingly good condition considering it's a betson cab, (P1 pad is shit don't play on it) the bar on those cabs are uncomfortable though.

If they got tricoro with e-amuse I'd probably give them all my money.

Oh good they still have X2. I heard they're getting X3 but I guess it doesnt matter because the announcer is intolerable in both games. I swear it's like Konami hired Charles Martinet after Extreme.

Also Super Arcade is inferior if you care about HCing the scratch 12s (or EXHCing watch out [a]) but i've mentioned this a billion times already.

Yeah.. Even pop'n music's crossover choices are better (at least in the context of DDR, not song quality-wise). Moon and Arrabbiata fit DDR much better than, say, No.13 or Xepher do IMO.

I'm curious on your thoughts on MARS WAR 3.
