You can't see the notes coming ahead of time. How is that not backwards. It is somewhat of a mindfuck at first. Switching to the progress bar markers (where the squares fill up from the bottom to the top) does seem to make the game a hell of a lot easier than it is with default markers. Once you get used to that though, you get to realize how ridiculously easy most charts are. |

it's not a matter of being easy but of being ass designed

There is nothing intuitive about playing ReRave to me. On the arcade version, if you use the whole screen you have these gigantic notes that don't need to be so freaking huge, the indicators are worse than jubeat when they rotate (too small compared to the size of the circle they rotate around), and the screen is hard to play on (if you're not wearing gloves or something, you burn your fingers dragging them along hold notes)

You can't see the notes coming ahead of time. Except you can, sort of. There's a little bar above the 4x4 grid that informs you of an upcoming number of notes to hit, and a little line scrolls as you play when it gets to said notes. It's to the left of the score. -------------------- |

A lot of guys in Vancouver were using the fireworks note when I was there. Don't know if that's the best one, but the orange one that fills from bottom to top is the easiest for me to use.

best part is how easy to tell apart the timing judge |

Choosing a different marker helps a lot, yeah, but ultimately the game difficulty is still
1-8 Easy as fuck 9 Can be okay 10 Memorize |
