I didn't see something like this, probably because you guys are all beyond this.

Consistently finding the timing window on this game is proving to be a massive challenge. My rhythm is perfectly fine; I am just not pressing the button when the stupid game wants me to. It might be due to the fact that I'm feeling incredibly sick at the moment, but whatever. Example:

What the fucking christ.

nm I found the window but I quit before the 16th stream because I felt so sick and I still got a C

Umm.

Practice?

And stop making threads like this, especially in the wrong place. This would be more of a Music to your Head thread than a Glorious Days thread if there was an actual question/problem rather than you using VJArmy as your personal livejournal/myspace/xanga/whatever.

Finding the timing window

Here is my no-nonsense guide to finding the timing window:

1) Play IIDX until you can time it right

The timing is just really really tight

Judging froms your ratio of combo breaks to whatever it looks like you've played Stepmania or Pop'n so just play a few easier songs and concentrate on getting the timing right

I don't know I think I just took him seriously, are we supposed to be making fun of him? I'm a little hammered right now

Incidentally, anyone who has played AC IIDX will find it very difficult to call CS IIDX timing windows tight. AC timing makes CS "timing differences" laughable, or at least shruggable*.

I'm not saying they aren't there, because I definitely feel this sometimes, but as you get better at IIDX you can adjust in a few minutes or so.

if you splash gambol urine on your boots and behind your ears you may find that timing windows will gather towards you
this should make it easier to locate them, although it is still up to you to become their master

Hahaha funny is so much more entertaining than mean. Honestly I think a straight forward approach to getting better at timing is to start on slow songs and/or low high-speed settings, focusing your attention on that magical instant where the note overlaps with the red line, then gradually work your way faster and faster with more and more notes. It's actually pretty difficult for some of us to hold our attention on that one thing while trying to perform at other aspects of the game, but like everyone always says you'll get better with Time 'n Practice.

And while we're in Glorious Days I just wanna say that I am AWESOME

I agree. I have no issues playing on HS AC, timing-wise. My biggest issue is simply getting used to the arcade-dimension turntable, because I still suck at pinky scratching :<
