Somewhere a long time ago someone (I think QKUMBR) made a "schedule" of fan reaction up to and including IIDX home version releases. We should insert somewhere in there something about "topic started on VJA/BS about one-handed play", because one seems to invariably arise upon every CS release, at least since 7th.

I fucking hate songs that are note heavy on the right side (Ending of Sync[A] >_<).

I hate that crap and I play two handed. In fact, I arguably hate it even more, considering that I have two hands to use on the left side but only one for the right side.

yeah i cant do sync another at the end that does suck.

does anyone think the size of your hand/fingers affects play?
since we found out Lisu's hand is half the size of the german guy when they met, maybe that plays a part? i would say that if the black keys were elevated then that would be something different. frankly my finger joints hate the black keys, having to move up, but not really higher...

right now i can almost do love is eternity A7, but the last bar does me in, again right side rape-age.

I can barely do Sync 7k one handed so I'm not really even bothering with Sync [a] yet.

Basically, I play L7 and venture into 7k whenever I feel like wanting to play L7 again.

Same here, except I can't do Sync [7K] at all one-handed. XD
Take It Easy is the only 7 Star song that I can pass one handed.

I can almost pass Innocent Walls [L7] one handed, but it's those double taps that are annoying.
...and yes, I too hate note heaviness on the right side of 1P side; I only play on the 1P side though. tongue.gif
My left hand sucks compared to my right, henceforth 14K is the devil.

I almost full comboed No Doubt Get Loud [A] one handed....but that's easy. XD
22DUNK [A] is also another easy one handed notechart.

I have the stamina, but for some songs, I often wonder if I'm not doing something right because it seems impossible, especially OML[A].

I wonder if it's my incorporation of the thumb...I don't use it for EVERYTHING, I use it for chords and occasionally around the notecharts where need be.........does anybody use the thumb all the time?

Anybody cleared the L7 notechart for Gattaise yo! Sutorongu Ieegaa!! yet (one hand)?
I'm still working on it.

Also, POST ONE-HANDED VIDS PLZ!! =D
The only one hand vids I've seen ever posted were mines, CStar's, LISU's, and Hameko's.

3rded, Freezing Atmosphere [a7] ending got me the other day, rolls on keys 6+7 blink.gif

Edit: A few more notes on my 1H weaknesses:

Chords that are stuck adjacent to each other (i.e. 4+5 or 4+5+6 or 5+6+7 etc)
Tons of chords within streams (i.e. Quasar [a7] ... wtf?)
Drumrolls on my weakest fingers: ring plus pinky therefore weak keys = 5, 6, 7
Fast staircases ... Kakumei [7k] or [a7] anyone?

After seeing OML[a] chart myself and getting my ass handed to me playing it 2 handed, I think LISU is really amazing after passing it one handed. Jesus, thats just...GODLY! ohmy.gif:o:O

kakumei isnt staircases

its like someone barfed up on the right side or something, but when the song is played in mirror it's somewhat comfortable...
again its not like playing the piano IIDX black keys are not raised higher so i think that complicates a run a lot.

AAA OML with one hand today, but not OML(A) hah

Indeed! Some people just can't grasp the concept of a person passing such a notechart one handed.
All Konami did for him was give him a free meal and some other small "gifts" for his AMAZING talent...

I can't understand how he can do OML[A] with just one hand; I tried and tried and I sucked badly even in TRAINING MODE at SPEED 1 (slowest song speed).

Maybe he has a robotic hand. o_o;;;

I wonder if he could clear One or Eight [A] with one hand.

uh, if he can pass OML [A] one-handed, why would One or Eight give him anywhere near as much trouble...?

Yeah, I can nearly clear One or Eight[A], so I'm sure LISU could probably easily FC it.

Well, as you get better and better at one handed play, LISU's accomplishments don't seem as grand anymore; just give it time and you'll find LISU's OML[A] clear to be more reasonable; it's just like with how someone who has just started IIDX will be more amazed by an A[A] clear than someone who has been playing for a year or so (Don't take me wrong, it's still a freaking insane feat blink.gif ).
