Maybe because Remy's blog will still exist, meaning VJ Army will still be technically "taken"?

I guess the only problem I have with OML is that it's harder to identify oneself as a member of it. The thing about VJ Army was that it was already the name of a group.

Also, it sounds kinda fruity to anyone who doesn't already know what it's referring to.

You're right, IIDX is far too manly a game for a name like that. DJ Troopers makes way more sense. btns.gif

Seriously though, it is the best name, and it's a pretty important song too. It was the first '13*', was it not? No one cares about Solid State Squad. It sounds like every other LED song that I can't remember.

I suggested 'one more lovely' on the "closing" thread without knowing someone had already suggested it here. I think it's very fitting for many reasons. Its meaning as the "sequel" to a previous site being one of them.

We could all call ourselves OMLets! Yes, I know an e is missing, but it was silent so who cares about it anyhow

that just reminds me of the time someone on BMS (IIRC) had a sig referring to OMESes as "Omelettes Made of Eggs and Sausage"

Xythar's got a point, though.

Well, VJ Army wasn't a particularly remarkable song either, just another good-cool song on 6th Style. I think it worked well though because it sounds like a real group and leads to all these themes and catchphrases for the main site like "Enlist in the VJ Army" and stuff. In fact, one could argue a less talked about song works better since it'd lead to less frequent confusion between the song and site name in discussions about the song.

I guess what I'm just saying is, the name might make sense at the moment due to this being "one more" site, but soon enough it's going to be the only site. Another 5 years down the track are we still going to be happy with this name or are we going to be tired of explaining it to every person who signs up?

Why would it need explaining any more than vjarmy? I never see anyone questioning that name. It's not like Remy named this site 6th Style.

If OML is too girly, how about Macho Gang.

(It was Marouku's idea, but it's still a good one, even if he does have a K-ON! user icon.)

It just sounds to me like it would come across a bit weirdly to non-players due to being grammatically nonsensical and containing the word "lovely". That's just my opinion though and in the end it will be up to you guys (I will be holding a poll later)

Macho Gang was used for Toph&crew's own forum for a while so I don't know if that would be considered "stealing a name" or not

As one of the founders of Macho Gang, I don't really care if the name is appropriated. Hell, I actually think that's a great suggestion!

I doubt Toph would mind either.

Wasn't aware of that. I just noticed that machogang.com appeared vacant.

It was mostly a joke suggestion, but I do genuinely like it better than...well, practically everything that's been suggested.
