In your control panel do you have your timezone set to a location that observes DST, and the "auto correct DST" option enabled?

there must have been some sort of lag of a few hours between what's displayed for post timestamps and what's displayed on the front page for last post times.

it's no longer happening, but would be a good thing to look into next year when DST starts up again.
