Yeah, when playing arcade (at Planet Zero or back at Dallas's GameTown when it had 8th Style) I pick expert whenever I want. No one cares, or if they do they never whine about it.

LOL, I have actually heard stories about Texan IIDX players losing their cool while waiting in line, and someone plays more than the Standard amount of songs. Never experienced in person though.

I dunno, there are a good number of people who score attack easier songs. This happens a lot in 10dan players and low kaiden players who give up HCing himiko and stuff, or so I've heard.
It's funny seeing 6?dan guys try to score on lower songs like *4 and get messed up by scratches and fills though. Scoring usually follows skill, at least to AAs on stuff, and then from there it's a matter of "learning" to score higher.

I mean, I have seen kaiden guys play miru-key way.

Brandon is really, really late to the scene, comparatively speaking. Ferrari was long gone by then.

Kevin (Ferrari) was an old old old skool DDR and IIDX player over here from back in the fucking day. I think he still has admin rights on BMS from at least as far back as 5.9. He's doing Drum n Bass collabs with other people right now and they're p good.

Then there was Eugene (Blue) who is now like a concert pianist or something and he would get 1st on the KBM machine at MGL all the time and got bored seeing his name so he started inputting other people's tags into the high score table.

It's pretty funny that I know this shit and I was totally not a part of the scene at this time. Everyone was going to SVGL during that age while I was still going to Hi5 and owning the HHM CM2 machine like a boss.

Is repping position at Bemanistyle considered an accomplishment now? Damn, what kind of bizzaro world are we in?

Ferrari played Colors with DJ Taka! That is cool, Bemanistyle is not.

Reading these have kinda motivated me to try to break that 12 wall I've stuck on since forever. With winter break coming up I may have more time to play.

No that's just something that I remembered from back in the day. Don't get pissy at me for it.

Sorry, wasn't meant to be negative towards you, just a dig at BMS. I am not good at the funnies.

Really liking these interviews. As someone who's been around the scene since before 6th CS, they really bring back memories.

Thanks for doing these; looking forward to the rest of them.
