Thanks to John Stiles, who took time out of programming a game everyone should be looking forward to buy in a few months, we now have a swanky javascript live-score-highlight on Session Mode. It'll show you what grade the score you currently have in the score boxes is, and automatically update as you change your score.

It's not tested on all browsers, so let me know if you run into issues.

Since I've heard conflicting reports about it working in Firefox, can I ask those of you using Firefox to note which version you're using, along with whether or not it works?

Guess I need to upgrade Firefox!

Try installing Java.

http://java.sun.com/products/javawebstart/

...And on a side-note it only displays if you currently have a score for that song.

Try installing Java.

JavaScript, not Java. Despite the names, they aren't even related aside from similar syntax. You certainly don't need a plug-in, just a reasonably modern browser.

Two possibilities:
1) You need to enable javascript in your browser (lots of sites have problems in this case).
2) You need to clear the browser cache. The colors are defined in the site's CSS file, which browsers are often very aggressive about caching. If you have an older version of the CSS file cached on your hard drive, then you'll see your EX score updating in the grade list, but it won't be in color.

PS I'm working on another javascript addition that will let you sort the song session list by your rank versus other users. I've got it working locally on my machine, but Remy needs to integrate it into the site code which may take a while--he seems to be busy with Real Life, which is important because Remy paying the bills keeps VJArmy online.

Best thing ever.

What game was he working on? Guess I'll just google it.

Works fine for me on good ole Internet Explorer 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633........................M-02stp.1.01

But when I click the mouse in the JG box, the original number in that box doesn't disappear so that I can just enter the new number. As it is, I click on the box and most of the time just start entering my new JG number, then it adds to the existing JG number, making it some number in the ten thousands. This only happens with the JG box.
