Back from the dead to post the seemingly final update to the RED site, since Happy Sky will be starting soon. The "From Staff" section has an update from Taka which starts with "Are You Happy?", and there are a bunch of other blurbs from the rest of the staff, and some pics as well from Goli and HES...
Also 4 new G2 Arts from Tokyo Suyokudo. They(?) did the videos to Be Quiet, Wonder Bullfighter, and Kecak. I'm personally all for the Wonder Bullfighter one ![]() |

Actually, the Taka update starts with "Are You H@ppy??".
OMG TAKA REMIX OF H@PPY CHOICE!!!1!1!11!! I wasn't aware Wonder Bullfighter had a video O_o Be Quiet's video is one of the worst ever. The G2Art is okay, but the video is stupid. -------------------- ![]() |

Wonder Bullfighter's video has nothing to do with Bullfighting or the like. It's theme is "Universe in a bottle". Makes a good generic video, imo >.>

Miz/JNFX put up a translation of Scorpion Fire / Sasoribi / Antares / Anti-Ares / whatever's info:
http://sacredchao.net/~arashi/iidx/11th/concerto.shtml After reading that I'd have a very hard time believing Virkato Wakhmaninov to be a real person like some people claimed he was. It's almost certainly just wac taking the piss. -------------------- ![]() |

Did... did people really think he was a real person? I don't find that hard to believe (this is the bemani community you know). It's startling and hilarious, though.

It's almost certainly just wac taking the piss. I figure it's just wac again, as you say, but I have no concrete evidence of this; it's probably just the "W" thing leading me on some wild tangent. But I believe it so it must be true~! (Also I had heard this before and it seems reasonable) Listen to Scorpion Fire and Votum Stellarum back to back, just for fun... I wasn't aware that Votum Stellarum had even started until the loud trancey bits blared in. Hi there wac's piano~~~ Yeah. -------------------- |

From BMS
QUOTE(Oogami) That score, published by Universal-Edition in 1932, went out of print when the Nazis annexed Austria and the plates were destroyed because of the Reich's distaste for "impure" Russian music. Other than the barely legible autograph 4-stave reduction on display in the Wakhmaninov Memorial Foundation in St. Petersburg and the autograph full score currently in Konami's possession, you won't find much. Awesome! I'd post this there but RMZ already locked the topic... >_> -------------------- ![]() |

That was a joke :-< I'm 99.9% certain "Virkato Wakhmaninov" is Wakita Jun, or wac. Wakh. Wac. Wakh. Wac. Plus I can definitely hear Wakita's stylistic sound at the (electric) piano. -------------------- |

Or it could be wac being silly and parodying an actual composer...
Google up "Wakhmaninov" and it gives you the option "Did you mean: Rachmaninov?" which leads to links like below... http://www.classiccat.net/rachmaninov_s/biography.htm Compare to the production notes on Roots26. Quite a few interesting/parallels between historical records, and Konami's view on things. Now, whether wac redid one of the movements (the 3rd, I would imagine) of Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No.1 (ala Kakumei to the Revolutionary Eletude), or made Scorpion Fire in his style, I don't know (but I figure the latter really). ...I think I'm reading into this song too much. -------------------- Twan says: so what possibilities are there
pH-zero says: me being killed for some reason, unlikely though Twan says: I don't see why that would happen PLATINUM HAWKE IS DEAD. Twan says: ahhh fuck it, yes, it was me XD pH-zero says: hahaha, epic pay back you bitch I know more about anime than you do. |

The latter. And yes, "Wakhmaninov" and Rachmoninov's histories have some very interesting parallels ;-p
