I slap those marshmallows HARD. That's how I play. Recently, If I slap the controller, it will register, like, 5 other keys, and usually, not the one I hit. This has been pissing me off in recent days when I play stuff like TOX BOX EX and I get 0 goods and like 14 misses. Normally, I wouldn't care, bcause I could easily just tell myself that I can 100K it, but with Pop'n Navy up, I'll actually HAVE to 100K it for it to be valid. That's fine, as I know I can, but when my controller is fucking me over, I can't even full combo Silky EX anymore.

On a side note, is it supposed to be normal for my controller to just quit me out of a song halfway through? My friend's KonamiStyle ASC seems to do that to him as well. Not very often, but it happens.

If there's a way to fix either of these problems, please, let me know. I swear to god if you say get a Ransai or something, I'm going to go nuts. I'm not getting a new controller, I'm curious if there's a way to fix my KonamiStyle pop'n music ASC.

Now...I think it's possible because of the vibration from hitting the controller causes the other buttons to move around a bit, accidently registering those. Perhaps there's a known way of keeping the buttons still? Also, my controller is really loud. I tried putting shit inside, but it doesn't do anything to muffle the sound.

So yeah:

Sound
Registering
Quit

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Maybe try opening it up to make sure the connections are secure and nothing is touching things it shouldn't be. If other buttons are registering, the vibrations from your slaps could cause loose connections to trigger.

The noise? You "put shit inside of it"...I'm not sure exactly what that means, but I remember a long time about someone saying that if you put paper circles around the buttons, it cuts down on noise. I don't know if that works well or not, though.

Ive kind of adjusted to hitting them softer, but a true fix would be alot of help.

For noise, I lined the inside of controller with carpet padding and cotton balls. Its still rather loud, but its a lot quieter than it was.

maybe it has something to do with they way you hit the buttons? I've had my ASC for a couple years now and it still works great. I made sure to get some stuff that keeps it from sliding around, and you need something sturdy to set it on. Works fine for me.

Okay, I am getting pissed.

I bought a Konamistyle ASC from Elixir here on this site. When it came, barely any of the buttons registered. Luckily, I had a friend who can solder stuff, so he soldered the connections and now they all work pretty well, except for the right white button. It will register and stay registered for a long number of seconds, then go off, and then I can press it again to have it register for a long time again.

I would love to know why this is happening, and what I can do to fix it.
