My vote also goes for Hibroad.

And I agree there are minor inaccuracies. Jelly Kiss 7k should be a 6, for example, not a 5 as Hibroad has it.

However, Konami's ratings are a bit off sometimes too. Limited 7k should be an 8 (Konami says 9), GOB WS L7 should be a 7 (Konami says 6), Resonate 1794 7k should be a 9 (Konami says 10), etc...

But we take what we can get. Hibroad all the way.

Due to individual playing style/experiences, almost any grading system will be off in some aspects. ;P
But compared to other rankings I've seen, I've usually been rather pleased with Hibroad's estimations.

Wow, I really like the new session page. Everything's much easier to see and figure out.

I actualy thought that the other site i posted was all hi board rankings.

I just want to 1-12s next to the anothers as I enter them.

And Limited 7k should not be 8. I passed 3 11s before I passed it (meaning, ya, all ratings are gonna be wierd for everyone a few times).

hibroad is pretty accurate. Just make fun and jaeger final attack [A] into 11s and The Strong Jaeger [A] into a 10.

This site might also come in handy for difficulty. (Except RED CS exclusives)
http://sungeki.hp.infoseek.co.jp/bmrank/bmrank.htm
I like how everything has been discussed at least once.
Not to sling mud at hibroad or anything.

I can't really see that site coming in handy for anything. At least hibroad uses a 12-difficulty scale that mirror's Konami, and doesn't deviate from Konami on songs that they've given official ratings to.

Also, that site doesn't have Normal charts ranked.

I think since the next CS mix is placing songs on a 1-12 scale, VJA should follow suit. Since VJA is evolving like IIDX, seems like the next logical step...well, as far as difficulty ranking goes. Hibroad looks good for songs that don't have official rankings.
OR, you could do a VJA community reranking of all songs on a scale to of like 1-50 or something. blink.gif
I'm sure that'd be fun. wink.gif

If we wanted to have 1-12 levels for currently unrated charts (which I do), hibroad is your best bet. Regardless of its accuracy, as that will always be disputable, it's complete and a well known resource in the community.

Yeah, what they said. However, I think at least 90% of the site agrees that Jaeger FInal Assault should be an 11*. That is their single least accurate song rating.

We are about a week of development + a week for translators to update the i18n strings away from a launch. Unfortunately that week of development could take quite a bit more depending upon the amount of free time Matt and I possess.

Here's a quick breakdown of what is left to do in the spirit of more open development:

Course session
View Course
Original Course Edit
Registration
Viewuser is still missing some features (AJAX add/remove friends and rivals needs a rewrite and 14-key stats are not there)
Friends only on viewsong
Login names instead of dj names (this is going to be a huge pain in the ass for so little gain...)
A few other new prefs
Many, many, many i18n updates.

If this delays the release of 4.0 then I say shelve it for another day. I figured it would be a matter of adding a preference and changing a single query in the view song/view style pages. As the guy who requested it, I feel like I should say this.

Well the issue is that if we're going to swap the view I want it to be consistent across every page (rather than a slapdash implementation on viewsong/viewstyle only). So I need to determine every single place that the option should change DJ name to login name first. I will consider delaying it for a 4.1 release though. smile.gif

It's been more than a month since rura's last post. How are things going? Will we see 4.0 in November or is the team planning on surprising us by a sudden change while we are in the middle of updating a score? The latter will be fun.

Honestly nearly zero progress has been made in that time due to time constraints and a dash of apathy. The change will probably occur in the middle of a score for maximum effect though!
