Yeah it was Noria. The full version was on BeForU's first album.

I guess this is kinda on topic. I have these reoccurring dreams where I am invading Riyu's fertile rice paddy from behind while holding a sheathed samurai sword up to her neck to prevent escape. I really hope this news doesn't mess that up.

This thread sure got interesting in a hurry.

...Man, why does every female Bemani vocalist have to suck so much? Sana is at least decent... she's about the only one I can stand listening to.

This is, of course, discounting HORIZON from RED. It has motherfucking Lia, bitches. Lia has got to be just about the greatest singer ever and she needs to have a lot more songs on IIDX and Pop'n and shit. Tori no Uta kors k remix fuck yes.

As it is, though, Osamu Migitera is the best vocalist in Bemani right now. Curus has pretty good female vocals, come to think of it.

Oh and the chick from Taito no Suika (Shimotsuki Haruka) is also good. She sang Aurica's songs in Ar tonelico and has done a lot of other interesting shit. She doesn't really count either though... bermei.inazawa needs to make more songs for IIDX/Pop'n as well.

Three.

Cosmos is Sayaka + her sister Emi.
They did Healing Duo (home), Lonely Feel (Fragments), Flying Duo (Kibou no Tane) and Continental (Hashiri Tsuzukete) for Pop'n.

Wow. Home and Fragments are pretty incredible songs, so that is cool to know.

I do hope Miharu gets better. I Am.. is still probably my favorite BeForU song, and Riyu and Noria each had some decent songs. Yoma didn't get enough solo work outside of Ever Snow, which was unfortunate.

On the flip side, I did have a personal theory that BeForU's song quality was inversely proportional to the number of singers singing at a given time. Should the remaining 4 continue to do any work, maybe this will lead to songs not named Red Rocket Rising.

Can this discussion please include Sutorongu Uuman Asami? It was only one song but iirc, every time I played it I threw up a little.

I actually thought Miharu Arisawa was pretty talented in terms of "actual singing" and not just "KAWAII happy.gif" so it's kind of a shame that she had to be the first one to go

I'm pretty tempted to sig this.

Also yeah Lia is a really good vocalist and I wouldn't mind hearing more of her in Bemani. Screw BeForU, give us people who can actually sing (Himawari game version [IIDX or GF/DM] makes me cringe EVERY TIME I HEAR IT)

(23:35:17) Mathman825: There's a reason there's like six girls in BeForU
(23:35:22) deusexodium: LOL
(23:35:27) Mathman825: one of them has to hit the right note if they all sing really loud.

Ironically I like the BeForU songs in DDR, just because they tend to be really straightforward and fun to play. Including Himawari.

Himawari is easily one of my favorite songs by them...and I haven't played it in DM, but it's GF chart is nothing to write home about. The only BeForU song I can recall actually having an enjoyable GF chart is Chikara.

that's actually probably why she left: because everyone else dragged her down to their level
