Axem doesn't play video games, so probably him. Do you actually think it looks alright, or are you just saying that because Setzer likes controller music games.

I dunno man Axem always seems real upset at the lack of continued CS GFDM and Popn games whenever the subject comes up on sows!
I've played pop'n 12 on a dualshock. It's nowhere near as good as AC pop'n and hitting 5 was consistently irritating, but I think if Konami rips off djmax formats the controls for a PSP then it should be fun. Plus the popn15 unlock method looks pretty fun, unlike popn10, 12 and what have you.

QUOTE (chotto kiitena @ Sep 29 2009, 06:31 PM) *
RBU is actually pretty good since it's basically Amplitude with DJMax controls rebranded as a Rock Band game. There's not much reason not to get it unless you're some kind of who automatically hates all western music btns.gif

i don't play music games without timing windows unless i'm with friends. And I'm certainly not going to pay money for it. Btw why don't you bite the bullet and make :moogy: a real emote, it's certainly easier than copying it from my photobucket whenever I feel like using it.

He's retroactively upset. He doesn't play video games anymore. Except for when he does, but even when he does he doesn't.

Vaguely psyched about this game.

Yeah, I think from this it sounds pretty decent.

How would you even play 9 button on the PSP though it'd be ridiculous

I'm kind of wondering this myself, but I don't know why I'd play 5 when I can already do that on DJMax Portable (and it's my least favorite mode on those games). I mean it's not going to have the same controls but still...

Yeah I figured that was why you never play music games that don't have timing elements

Wow dude what did I do to piss you off. I'd rather have 0 friends than be friends with someone who listens to Rush Limbaugh.
Anyway if I wanted a Rock Band game I'd get the Beatles one, not the PSP one. The only reason I'd play DJMAX or Popn on PSP is for the music.

Dismissed a good music game for a superficial reason emot-colbert.gif

plus it sounded especially silly when you wrote it out

Well in the picture there are 7 buttons.

Yeah, but that picture doesn't make clear what they're all mapped to. Shoulders are a given, but then even if you use all four face buttons you need 3 d-pad inputs which could be a little iffy in my opinion. Shouldn't really matter as long as the charts are at least kinda designed for it though I guess.

It's how 6b+ on DJMP works, and yeah, it sounds iffy but as long as the charts are designed for it it works out fine.

They're going to release it on PSP??? WTF!!! Sure the PSP is just a weaker version of a PS2 (hardware wise), but come on what are you thinking Konami! Just release it on the damn PS2! (like 7-14!, it shouldn't be that hard to port it, like the recent CS iidx games)

Damn, it even has the Adventure Mode to unlock the songs. I remember playing through that when Adventure was new and still locked.

According to the article there is a Music Player Mode, when you clear a song I guess you can listen to it anytime you want. Like a music test I'm guessing.

I guess autoplay was too complicated...

I beat Ubertreffen on a dualshock so I'm guessing this will be painfully easy. *shrug*

Jan. 14th? Wow, that's pretty soon, only 3 months away. I wonder when Konami will put it up on Konamistyle for pre-order and what kind of LE bundle(s) they'll have for it. Unless they give it no special bundle being a PSP game.

Wow, that sounds pretty tough. Although a PSP doesn't have the 4 shoulder buttons like a DS 1/2/3, so what will be used for 9 button mode on the PSP ver., I wonder?

That may be alright for a lot of stuff, but what about if you have to hit the left and right buttons at the same time? You can push the whole d-pad down, but won't you get a bad for pushing in the up button as well? sad.gif
