Everything is the best anything ever.

On an on-topic note, Touhou games are bad, and I do not like them.

Also, Megaman Battle Network 4 is better than everyone says.

Nintendo's controllers suck, because they don't break when you throw them on a regular basis. (as opposed to Sony's which break themselves out of boredom)

I've always been happy with Nintendo's controllers, but I find the GC ones poorly suited for old-school Resident Evil. Analogue sucks shit for that kind of control scheme, and I find the d-pad to be difficult to navigate well with.

Fair enough. I haven't played any of the GCN RE games.

Also, call me stupid, and bad at life, but I just got to the final boss in MMBN4 and...what part of that fight is possible again? My folder must suck more than I thought it did.

1000+ hours on PSO over all my characters?

How many PSO characters did you have exactly? The most hours I ever had was in the 600s with QQQ. I think I was in the 400s on BB, but at least 300 of that was lobby idling. Seems like all I did in BB was lobby idle...

Sammael (ep1&2 GC) was 600
Nyare (ep1&2 GC) was 200
Nyare (DC v2) was 100-150
and then there's random characters like Kail, Hyze, Rhodes, Rhodie, Albedo, Ruby Wind who never broke 100 but tended to get a fair amount of play on them.
My time on BB was short lived, I only tried a demo pre-ep4 to see if I could assign techs to the num pad. And of Sammael's playtime, I know very little of it was spent idling in lobbies for trades.. like < 10hrs

Oh, I read your last post wrong. I thought you said you had 1000+ on all of your characters, which would be crazy. Yeah, I'm sure I have a little over 1,000 too. 600 on QQQ, I think 250 on Regulus, HitchHiker3 had around 150 I think...I'm just making this stuff up aren't I? I'd go check, but I don't feel like it (and I can't check PSOBB anymore...). All the other random losers I made only got at most 20 hours.

I don't recall having an issue with the 100-meter dash. I remember thinking it was impossible as first because I was using the C-buttons instead of the D-pad though.

I do recall being annoyed by that level where you have to find the ghosts, and the level with the kings tricycle or whatever it was. Oh, and that obnoxious puzzle level that I'd mess up every time.

Hey, the GBC version of Mario Golf was excellent. The others were ok.

Izuna is a better game than it's advertising campaign makes it out to be.

Either my PS2 is dying, the disc is more damaged than it looks, or MGS3 has a crazy amount of slowdown. It's like playing the Xbox version of MGS2, and never going inside the boat. (exaggeration)

That's all I have to say about Game at the moment.

The N64 was 'seriously lacking in the department of RPGs'. I'd say the DS is only slightly lacking at this point.

Makai Kingdom is easily the worst NIS game I've purchased, because it doesn't work.

Judging by the other links, I'd say it's Tales of Destiny 2.

It's definitely the best console RPG I've played since...um...well the only ones I can recall holding my attention were FFVI, FFVII and Skies of Arcadia; and if I recall correctly I had to restart them a couple times before finishing them. (and for various dumb reason I never did finish FFVI, or FFVII)

You should check it out. Check it out with money. I want me some localized FES.

Canada sales do count right?...

On my first runthrough of FFVII I got to Sephiroth, but was underleveled (mid 40s), and couldn't beat him. Tried again a few years later, and this time decided I wanted to be overleveled, so I set out to master every materia. I managed to get two of the master materias before noticing that I missed trine, which you can only get on disc 2, meaning I wasted 90 hours or so.

I just had to run through it again.

i don't think i ever mastered Enemy Skill. it's not required for Master Materia, so i never really bothered. it's useless anyways

I'm still only in the 30+ hours area. I keep losing to the the second (or third? I think second...) boss in the third block because the AI is ridiculously stupid, and thinks 'heal' means 'use an ice attack', and 'knock down' means 'wait'.

The enemy had reflect, yeah, but as I understand it you have to use a magic attack on them to make reflect go away. It seemed to work every time I did it anyway...

And then when I tried to train I got heat blasted to death by those knight enemies. We could've come out of it alive if Yukari just used Maguru again, but she thought it'd be better to recover 50 HP instead...
