I've have a very hard time believing that this users scores are legit. He goes from a 98k on Des Bossa EX to an 84k on Cybergagaku 9L

even stranger is he has several 5 line scores entered and all of them are like 70k and below.

It just doesn't make any sense. Also, none of his scores have any notecounts or speed mods.

So yea, discuss

I noticed his 36666 on J-rock, but even though his scores are all over, I don't think any are really unbelievable.

im calling bs on account that he went for the 95k ojama. if he actually COULD do it, im pretty sure he would go for the 100k ojama

100k Pop'n Taisou/Ura Percussive EXs already. neither of those should really be that bad (esp. ura percussive)

He may have just at one point in time been bad, then entered in better scores?

How long ago did he join?

This point is kind of moot as I only even bothered to look at his Carnival scores. A CS release that only came out a few months ago. This is also confounded by the fact that every one of his scores seems to be entered on 1/22/07

I suppose its possible that in 4 months he played everything and got progressively better and then just put them in all at once from records, but the sheer variation from one song to the next would suggest that he only ever played any song once, and started out by sucking on 5 line and then progressed to passing grunge des EX. all within the time frame of Carnival's lifespan. even his 36666 on j-rock is listed as a pass. Sure it could have been a mistake by not unchecking it but still.

It's not like im asking for a nuke, just an explanation.

I'm betting on memorymani + pop'n mini + insane IIDX skillz IF IT IS TRUE.

But I doubt it is.

Does memorymani list all your scores as clears regardless?

Not sure, but that's a very good point and would be consistent with what's going on there.

On my IIDX games, I've let my friends play some of the easier songs and never played them myself, so I have like a D on Max 300 L7 on RED, but once I get around to filling out RED Light7, the score will no doubt be much higher. Maybe that's what happened.

One thing he does have going for him, I tried checking some of his full combo scores to see if the posted score was possible, and so far the ones i've checked all seem to be achievable scores. I'm not sure about the non-FC scores as those are harder to figure for, but presumably they'd be fine too. The use of memorymani and more than one person playing on the memory card seems to be a reasonable explanation for this. Particularly the fact that all the 5 line scores are really bad. If someone else that hadn't really played pop'n was playing on his card, they'd probably play 5 line and be bad at it. Still want to know if Memorymani uploads all scores as clears though.

The "3" in G3 represents the three people using that account. And the "G" stands for Gregory. Because that's what all three of them are named. Because, in reality, the three of them are the physical manifestations of the id, ego, and superego of one person. It's exactly the same plot as Xenogears.

So if you ever wanted to know which of Fei Fong Wong's multiple personalities from alternate timelines was the better Pop'n player, now's the time to ask.

What's up guys!

Hahaha, I kinda figured this was going to happen. I'm really really surprised that you guys came up with pretty much exactly what happened though. I did use memory mani to upload all of my pop'n scores. I did this for a bunch of IIDX styles as well. And yes, I have a few friends that aren't really "into" the series that still want to give it a shot every now and then, so I let them play on 5 line or some easy 9 line stuff. All of the hyper and ex stuff should be mine though unless the score is really low. btw, I DO play on an ASC. K0LD's ransai to be exact laugh.gif. Um, I haven't really checked over my pop'n scores, but I'm pretty sure mem mani sets everything you play as cleared regardless if you have or not. I'm going to go in and check over some stuff as I haven't cleared a lot of 42+'s and if they are marked improperly, I'll change that.

Again, if you want me to post pics of the controller or any scores feel free to ask. I've been wanting to make some videos for pop'n/IIDX/DM for a while but my cam only takes video and no audio dry.gif

Edit: A lol and wtf to the post above me. Also, checked over the higher stuff and it's all good. I never bothered to check the lower stuff out though so I should have guessed it would look really funky.

Yea, i probably came off as harsh and I apoligize for that. I don't usually take into account memorymani as i've never used it, but i guess it should have been apparent since there were no speed mods or notecounts. Thanks for responding. Case closed happy.gif
