I don't mind the web interface so much, but a client would be better. Is there anything that I could download and use? Sourceforge said that nothing was available yet for rmz' program.

I took my Sourceforge page down, Catastrophe, because I never managed to pack the program into a working executable JAR. SWT is apparently really flaky in this regard so there's really no way to use my client at this point in time unless you have Eclipse and SWT installed, which only developers would.
So, in the end, my client was finished to a barebones stage of functionality, but the practical inability to distribute it kind of screwed me over. |

Doesn't Azureus use SWT too, though? How does that work then?

They probably cast the right magic incantation to make it work. When I was trying to pack my application into a JAR, it was a mishmash of dependency/DLL hell and Google turned up nothing but other people having the same types of problems.

https://sourceforge.net/projects/jlingr/ I'll hopefully have source up by the end of the week if anybody cares enough to use it. It's a Java SWT project so I imagine you need Eclipse to compile it. that guy was freakin me out so i had to idle didnt bother to sleep just played IIDX Happy Sky till it was time to leave xD -------------------- |

I'd also prefer IRC (perhaps a move to the server that #bemanistyle, #bemaniso, #machogang, etc. are run on?)

I support this position.

Don't know what a Hokie is? Shame on you:) From game faqs: Some of the more difficult tracks end up looking like pulsating SCAN-TRONs on crack. an orgy of descending minuses. |

I'd also prefer IRC (perhaps a move to the server that #bemanistyle, #bemaniso, #machogang, etc. are run on?) I think at this point, I'm giving up on Lingr in light of the community's preference for IRC. As for a server move, I am opposed to such a move for a handful of reasons. One, said server is not a full-scale IRC network, best I can tell. We've had enough problems over the years with network stability, I don't want to make it worse. Two, relatedly, it's run by Bemanistyle. And while I have nothing but love for the Bemanistyle guys, I'd rather be on a network where g-lines and network administration will be done by people outside of the community. Lastly, I've been having enough of a problem with people in the room veering into realms of painful stupidity lately; I'd rather not increase the downslide if possible. -------------------- Make rigorous observations, and be prepared to cite your sources.
