PZ John said these would get fixed soon. Hope that's the case because I'm going to PZ on Saturday. Anyone else in town?

Turntable rubber covers are fixed now (not perfect but perfectly playable).

Also, I talked to the owner, and he was very interested in getting the IIDX machine on Programmed World, and had me pass along the appropriate contact info for all that smile.gif

The turntable grips do that (but not THAT wildly; clearly some doofus(es) deliberately accelerated the peeling process), especially if people play SHAKUNETSU ARGH. If the arcade owner wants to stay happy (at some cost) he should try and get a bunch to keep in store to put back on, because you'll never be able to reglue one on very nicely.

Those covers are like $100 each though, or something equally ridiculous.

If it were up to me I'd just cut out and glue some very fine black sandpaper to the TTs. It would look and work a lot nicer.

Hot and Dangerous scratching. Makes "Big." by FullMetal Tortoise look like something Gosaku would play.

Are you trying to sand down people's fingers? D:
But yeah, although the official covers are nice I wasn't aware they cost THAT much. Pretty sure you could try and make something similar with the power of Home Depot and 3M.

It never ends.

You call it a miracle.

Others opt to refer to it by its ORIGINAL NAME

lol if you don't know what Programmed World is (it's not the song) don't worry for now

I would just use goo-gone to strip all the adhesive off of the turntable and rubber tops, then a nice adhesive (paying attention to the edges) to keep it stuck. I mentioned that on sows and some member there said he's done exactly that before, with good results.

Now, if only they'd flip the restrictor plates on their Tetris The Grandmaster 2+ cabinet to 4-way mode... sad.gif

Just played on this machine a few hours ago lol. Seems to play alright. Took awhile before I got used to sud+ on AC. Only managed to get 3rd on GLORY course. Mashed my way out of the BOSS course. I suck at AC for the most part though. Being tall seems to be a disadvantage. Only 5 games played in total.

Are you gonna be at Anime Matsuri this year? I have a ticket lined up for me so I'm going...

Highly likely. I really want to play the Persona 4 fighter. Last time I went because of BBCS2 lol. Since then though I somehow became one of the moderators for the Rachel forums at Dustloop so I kind of want to also play BlazBlue EX there to get more experience etc (if they also bring it in the game room).

IIDX would be really nice to have there. They didn't bring it last time. I think I saw you at the chinese restaurant last time (within walking distance from the hotel) but I had to leave sleep.gif

Yeah if you saw a guy in a Mei shirt with a bunch of people (including Aubrey/Setzer) at his table, that was me.

I'm basically going to play IIDX the whole weekend as much as possible. Assuming it's there. I have high hopes.

I MIGHT be here this coming Sunday, playing that IIDX machine like a nut. (Don't bother asking for me though, I'll be with my parents. They're real protective of me so...tongue.gif)

asking for you? "hey can i have a segasaturngirl hold the onions"?

whatever anyway it does look like the IIDX machine will be there, two friends of mine are in Houston right now helping to get the cab prepared for the con. Looks like this year the arcade will kick ass, like it did two years ago. Last year was a fluke.

I'll be pretty easy to spot, I'll have a Mei shirt on most of the con, and a towel and hat with me most likely.

edit: to follow up, Matsuri 2012 was good.
