Anyone in the Midwest actively playing? If you're remotely close to Kansas City, I have a DJ Dao R.E.D. aching to add players to. Willing to bring it to events or just hang out and play. Let me know.

Having lived in Michigan and Wisconsin my whole life, I'm not sure what definition of "Midwest" includes Kansas City. That's more Plains IMO.

Also, meetup threads go in the Hitch Hiker forum. Requesting a thread move there.

Aside from the Omaha people that you wouldn't want over to your house, I'm probably one of the closest people to KC. Oh and the Iowa people, but the same goes for them.

How far from KC? I've met a couple of the Omaha people, and they were cool, but I'm guessing there were plenty of creepy ones that stayed inside when I visited. Bemani scene at Family Fun Center seems to have died, and the IIDX machine has gone to crap. After my last visit, I decided my home setup was all I needed.

There used to be a good sized Bemani community here in town, but only heard of a couple of people that played IIDX, and they stopped pretty early on.

In person, I'm pretty much nothing like how I post.

I'm also super cool.

I always had the solid red states more in mind.

I'd just make the thread title more specific than "Midwest" because Detroit and Cleveland are a fair bit away from KC is all I'm saying. smile.gif

5 hours.

And no, you don't want any of the Minnesota people over to your house either.

you drove from denver, through kansas city, and kansas city was the worst part? did you enjoy the eight hours of nothingness that preceded it?

I don't count him as a MN person since he is kinda based in Washington and all.

I'd say he's more based in the ocean now but he's still Minnesota. Mostly because he's awesome.

All of this defines what you mean by midwest....cause I'm in cleveland, ryujin's in columbus, and our bemani scene is pretty huge. Only IIDX machine is in bowling green though.
