I think there's IIDX in Brisbane but it's Happy Sky or something. Ask someone who's been there like Joey.

All the cool people are in Melbourne though.

It never ends.

You call it a miracle.

Others opt to refer to it by its ORIGINAL NAME

As far as I know there's Timezone's 10th which is in the city and a Happy Sky cab over at Funhouse. FH is in Sunnybank Plaza which is about 20 minutes south from the CBD so it might be out of your way depending on where you're moving. I wouldn't be surprised if they upgraded either of them by the time you come over though.

Oh and Gurt's also getting his Pop'n 17 cab in a couple weeks so go hit that shit up for the rest of us since we're still stuck on a locked 10

Brisbane has 10th Style AC on a nice CRT, and Happy Sky AC on a huge LCD or something (ask Joey), a friendly community of iidxers that get excited about passing 10's, some person that can AA mei, and probably some japanese players (japs only go to queensland, aus). Actually Brisbane probably has the most alive arcade culture in AUS in general considering it's a small city where they play DDR/ITG all night and have the most recent versions of shooters and fighters (cave, kof xii <- yes it's actually popular there..).

Melbourne has a decent DD AC and a broken Happy Sky AC, 6 posters/frequent iidx players on these forums are from Melbourne.
Arcades here are 80% populated by hong-kong students, 10% chinese, 7% australians, 3% drug-addicts/other.
KOF 2002 remains to this day the most popular fighting game here, there are no shooters, and the dancing game community is average.
I dare say though that Melbourne has to have the best GFDM community, there's two GFDM V6's (one in the city and one at the casino) a V3 in forest hill ($1=4 songs) and a V5 in box hill ($1=4 songs mon/tue), this probably lends to the fact that GFDM is very popular in HK.

If it's the HS machine with the huge LCD then going from Joey told me a while ago, you'll find a lot of supportive players there! I believe he told me the guy who runs that place changes the course every week and stuff which is pretty cool.

What do we Melbourne players get? Samba De Janeiro. That's it |:

If Drop is still reading this forum, say hi to Bill for me, he's the guy that always works there (At funhouse in the CBD), and absolutely loooves that IIDX machine.... Sometimes walking past, i see him wiping down the keys with a clean rag...
