Okay I haven't been playing Pop'n in awhile but I decided to you know check out the rankings and I see DGB is on top, right (along with kyle and flux ouch :<) well I check out his scores, and I'm a bit skeptical cause well...

Okay now seriously, I'm not one to call bullshit so quickly, but I really think DGB should put up a picture of his classic 9 score because okay, his Anime Hero score and Classic 9 score are only 1000 apart, and his Oi Punk score being 80000 which is a bit fishy (oi punk fishy GET IT), because I mean with all the left hand crap going on in Oi Punk, I think he would be able to do a lot better on those songs with heavy left hand stuff going on you know? I dunno I'm just skeptical, unless he plays some funky way =O

Anyways so yeah, can we get some pictures up in here =o

He uses a very small home built controller made out of standard round fighting game style buttons. That could have something to do with it.

You can use anything, Remy has already said, in terms of controllers. Some people play on Dual Shock, some people use regular small controllers, others use ASCs, and still others use odd custom-built controllers of differing sizes.

Yeah, if anybody wants to send me a full-size controller, I'll be glad to use that instead. ;-)

(Do you still want the photo?)

That's very similar to the kind that Shaper uses, I think, except his has arcade spacing (yes, between the tiny pushbuttons) tongue.gif

Ha ha, I'd be willing to try it, but I don't think Radio Shack sells a project case that big.

No sir. Similar to the kind that Shaper USED TO use. He has a Kagura shell and dome pushbuttons now.

And Dave, I still like that tiny controller. smile.gif

Hell since it was bumped anyways...

Go to home depot and get a cheap sheet of wood then build a box. That is what I did. I also used a modified arcade spacing of 3" instead of 5.5". 5.5" would have been way too much. I think I still have the design and all that stuff for drilling the button holes if you're interested. I think I built my second one in just under 3 hours total (not including buying supplies) the first one took about 5, but you already have all of your buttons soldered and all that so it would take you very little time.
