I've been fiddling with a USKOC for quite a while trying to stop the same problem. Still haven't got it to stop. Perhaps a faulty sensor? I try some different wax papers, less, more, smaller sized, you name it. The unmodded turntable isn't any better though.

I've tried making the screw looser/tighter and adjusting the wax paper a few times but it didn't seem to fix the problem for me, I've just learned to DEAL WITH IT over the years.

If it goes off with the keys it sounds like it's a wiring issue, possibly a short or (if you're lucky) just a loose wire. This happens to pop'n controllers pretty often which is why most people I know keep solder and a soldering iron around. Open up your controller and jiggle the wires to the TT around gently while the game is on to see if that's the issue.
