Well, I finally found some adhesive...that was in my drawer the whole time dry.gif so I finally got around to doing this penny mod.

It is definitely a drastic change, it greatly reduces the noise level and gives the keys a ton of sensitivity. The slightest tap will make it register. Once I play with it for a few days I think my accuracy will rise significantly.

Anyone with a USKOC should do this mod.

1 euro cent coins work perfect too. I've never glued them though and they've been working great for the last 4-5 years or so.

The American controller has no way of keeping them in place, unlike the Japanese controller. U gotta glue(ve).

A friend of mine here in Dallas did a very clean mod like in that thread except with Dj Dao's knockoff keys. You can still switch the side around and I think he got it to light up.

He said it's dremel hell and doesn't plan to make another one ever again, but if you really want to do it it's possible.

It is indeed "Dremel Hell". How do I know?

Still yet to wire it up, but that's trivial compared to all the Dremel work.
I'll post the resources I used sometime later.

Bonus shot of both this controller and the earlier one I made (functionality over form, it works but omg):

Nice.

Anyone know how to mod the keys on a DJ Station Pro? It has the same sticky key problem as a IIDX KOC. Not IIDX but w/e, don't have screwdriver in Japan so I can't pop it open just yet but it'll save me some time if there's a guide.
