A Best Hits collection is the only thing that would make sense, if they really DO keep all of those songs.

Unless they really go PS3. Which seems rather silly for the time being. The install base just isn't there - not to mention the 360s, even if that is primarily the "hardcore" console in Japan. Of course, they could be hedging their bets on all of their core players picking up PS3s JUST to continue playing...but I can imagine most people would just play in the arcade more (only considering Japan here, of course, which makes the most sense for Konami to be doing from a business perspective).

And I was just thinking today about how I was wishing for something to come along that would rekindle my interest in IIDX

It's possible that it could be two separate games or something. The official site is completely lacking in details so it's all speculation though.

I honestly DO hope it's a next gen version, though. Especially if it's all in 720p (or 1080p whatever). So no upscaling. So I'd get little to no lag on my TV. So I could actually play again. I would certainly be happy!

I just hope Konami could make money off of it, so it wouldn't be a one-time "oh shit wait we didn't make a profit SHUT. DOWN. EVERYTHING."

I just realized that this year is the 10th anniversary of IIDX. Maybe the "festival" thing from LED's blog has something to do with that?

Damn the Patriots...!

Oh well, I guess I'll just have to keep waiting to be able to play IIDX. Unless this is really a "progressive" Style, and they do something new with it.

(see what I did there)

e-motion 2003 -romantic extended- is enjoyable, yeah.

I'm betting there'll be a game + album pack, too, like previous styles with albums coming out at the same time...so I'll probably go with that instead. Neither of those other bonuses seem very interesting.

I played IIDX at work today, and I realized that the game is actually somewhat playable on a 12" CRT. So I'll probably just buy some crappy TV JUST to play IIDX on at this point, because this style sounds amazing already.

So I got the email from Play Asia today notifying me about the beatmania IIDX 16 Empress + Premium Best [Konamistyle Special Edition Complete]. 250$? fffffffffffffffffff

http://www.play-asia.com/SOap-23-83-2csn-4...-j-70-3hl9.html

Hahaha holy shit, no thank you. Just the regular old game at $85 is more than enough.

they're still doing it through the hardware but the PS2's sound card doesn't support pitch shift or something.

This makes sense - I know that the PS3 natively supports it (being built into the voice chat configuration and all), at least, so if Sirius or some other IIDX ends up on PS3, we'll get it then, hopefully.

Where is Blame [b] sad.gif

Oh well, if all goes according to plan, I should at least get a chance to play this tomorrow before I leave Friday for the whole damn weekend. And I was really looking forward to playing this, too...

OH WELL AT LEAST I CAN PLAY IT ON MY TV NOW THANKS TO THE TIMING ADJUSTMENTS biggrin.gif THANK YOU KONAMI

(I guess that 12" CRT I was given isn't going to get used unless I play older styles now)

They should just put Ryu's BGM from GOLD on every style ever, I'd be happy with that. Nothing gets me pumped to play like that does.

Actually, Unicorn tail shouldn't be part of the unlock code, since it's an unlock itself, now that I think about it

But VOX UP was part of the code for DJT, wasn't it? And I know how much of a pain in the ass VOX UP was to get.

Then again, that code was just for THE LAST STRIKER, not for ALL songs to be unlocked (which would be a bit obnoxious, considering VOX UP was the second to last song unlocked!). So you're probably right.

StripE is the worst kors k alias, it's like his "Remixed by DJ YOSHITAKA"

Except Bad Maniacs is under his teranoid alias. Or "kors k as teranoid," at least.

And what's wrong with StripE, anyway? I like most of the StripE songs.

As much grieve I give kors k for writing too many songs a game, he's probably the only one of the "Big Six" IIDX composers (TAKA, L.E.D., Ryu, Sota, and Yoshitaka) who writes more than one good/average song a game now.

Yeah, even Taka and Sota have been more miss than hit lately for me. LED has 1 great song every 2 - 3 styles, it seems like, and Ryu's stuff is just formulaic anymore. kors k at least stays interesting and varies it up more often with his aliases, and teranoid is generally amazing.

Still doesn't make Love is Eternity a good song, though.

Definitely not!

2.5x on 145-150 BPM songs

Wait...what? Slower or faster?

When I've played, I've been using 4x - 4.5x for 145-150 BPM stuff, which is about par for the course, really. I didn't notice any difference, even though I'm playing on a completely different TV now.
