so what terrible incidental music (as all incidental music is terrible by default compared to non-incidental) do you guys like that originates from videogame series 'beatmaniaIIDX' in this here year of 2012

we last posted these in 2008 so things undoubtedly change, especially with the introduction of pieces such as 'bounce bounce bounce' and 'thunderbolt'

I just went through everything on AC/CS and settled on this for a top 10:

1) COSMIC RAISE (extend)
2) I.C.F.5800
3) avant-guerre
4) TEXTURE
5) DUNE
6) 泰東ノ翠霞 (Taito no Suika)
7) KAMIKAZE
8) 風の谷のDREAM (Kaze no Tani no DREAM)
9) Doigts de Fatima -ファティマの掌-
10) 鬼言集 (Kigonshu)

^- good list just replace Cuvelia with something that wasn't ghostwritten by the Venga boys

I think Cloudy Music, Tribal Master and gigadelic round out my list quite nicely. Take Nemesis off. Or take cloudy music off if charts are a big factor.

probably not my actual top 10, but i really couldn't be bothered thinking harder about it. there's lots of high quality shit and i think i have rather low standards. i tend to get burned out on songs i hear people play all the time, that's about the only thing that factors into my opinion at any given time. so Butterfly Light 3 times in a row won't be showing up on here anytime soon.

I'll just list my top favorite (or so, I'm fickle) from the last 10 styles.

10th: 5.8.8.
Red: Anti-Ares
Happy Sky: 冥
DistorteD: Ganymede
Gold: the shadow
DJT: Mendes (kidding, it's really Icarus.)
EMP: Programmed World
Sirius: Almagest
RA: Dances with Snow Fairies
Lincle: 聖人の塔/The Sampling Paradise (Not deciding between them.)

...Ok, last 11 styles.

9th: moon_child

im this. dont like any song that makes it onto those top10 most played 'favourite numbers' lists from Japan.

Too many to choose from. NEMESIS and replay already been mentioned so;

Anthem Landing [a]
MUSIC TO YOUR HEAD
playball
garden
ON THE TUBE

Considering what you said I'm really surprised you like beach side and era, especially since every time I've been near a DDR machine in the US I've heard era played at least once. BSB was literally the only song anyone was playing in Japan between beat 1 and beat 2 of resort anthem soooo yeah I probably don't have much respect for that song anymore.

heh, well, those two are kind of "Good enough to love regardless" but i haven't been in an arcade that was DDR heavy over ITG, so it's really been a while since i've heard era get really overplayed. Beach-side...i just really like it despite anything. i don't really see many people here play a lot of scratch heavy songs, plus i love me some dumb ass scratch heavy setlists, with shit like any Izm song, Checking You Out, Glorious Days, Really Love...yeah =P
