Lately alot of people have been hating on this song like it suddenly poisoned their dog and raped their mother. It's like we can't seem to look past "steel needle with dormir" anymore, even though initially there was a very positive response to the song. Not only was it voted the favorite of DJT CS (See Here) , but the comments on S3 are largely positive. Has it become trendy to hate on LED for his style? I don't remember people hating on TaQ very much for the same thing.

Basically, this is still a good song. It's fun to play and a good listen even though it's now a version old. (Remember the hanafubiki thread like this? emot-colbert.gif )

I never really liked it that much, I don't think crimm vocals go very well with L.E.D. track, they're like oil and water. And, for the record, I've always been vocally ambivalent about TaQ.

And Hanafubuki is still a pretty good song especially compared to things like Red Zone, B4U Remix, and almost every eurobeat song

No, I still really like Cookie Boquets, as much as I dislike most of L.E.D.'s recent songs (DOMINION, Jewelry Storm, The Last Striker).

Hanafubuki doesn't matter now since S.S.D. has written better songs since then.

LED songs are even more similar than TaQ songs, era notwithstanding =/ There's not anything inherently wrong with being distinctive like that; everyone knows London Affairs is by Des-Row but I haven't seen anybody complain about that (that could just be because it's awesome though). But doing similar things over and over makes the worse ones stand out to me, and for LED that means his stuff ranges from lazy (beatnation remixes) to some of the worst songs on their styles (I hate Steel Needle and Grid Knight is pretty bad) to some of my favorites (Photongenic, Lovely Storm, Quantum, Deep Striker, Jewellery Storm).

Strangely though, he hasn't had a collab song I've disliked, even going back to Love is Dreaminess. But Cookie Bouquets is like Himiko, I enjoy it a lot, but I can't help but wonder what they would be like if they were just by Tomosuke or wac.

Xythar keeps saying this, and I still think it would just sound like Ferris wheel or that dormir song in The Movie.

I don't think it's shit but I don't think it's great either, I'm always a bit weary when I see a song in IIDX labeled as breakcore though, I've been brainwashed to believe that every breakcore track has reggae samples I guess.

LED just re-uses certain sounds too much, I wish he did another song like Acid Vision >:

(Wishful thinking but I wonder if they'd put Tomosukes remix of Acid Vision in Sirius...dream on eh?)

Good thing there are PS2 -> PS3 adaptors... If IIDX goes triple, I'm definitely sold on the system even if though it's big enough to crush me to death in my sleep.

It's a pretty great song and a creative combination of drum'n'bass and sweet pop, but it didn't have to copy Steel Needle THAT much.

Slow it down 20%
Dump the breakcore
Add techno ala Slake or Mitsuto Suzuki
Profit.
