holy shit this is like surreal.

Let me think... maybe

The Departed
Fight Club
Gran Torino
Saving Private Ryan
Fargo
The Truman Show

no real order, some of them I saw recently so that may be influencing it. Also I may be forgetting about some movies. Also I don't watch movies very often so there's a lot of stuff I haven't seen. Of these Gran Torino is probably my favorite at the moment.

Lions for Lambs is the worst movie focused solely on trying to make a point that I have ever seen. I saw it for free and I wanted my money back. Tom Cruise, Meryl Streep and Robert Redford and that's what I get? Wow.

Favorite 5:

Classic: It's a Wonderful Life
Comedy: Zoolander
Artsy: Being John Malcovich
Adventure: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Action: Iron Man

I had to pick one movie from each genre, because it's so hard otherwise. I know now a days The Matrix is basically a joke, but the first one was really really great and revolutionized the way movies were made. So it was really hard for me to choose between that for it's great direction/compilation, and Iron Man for the great acting and role recruitment. I felt that acting and character synergy stood stronger than direction/compilation. The Artsy one was a tossup between Being John Malcovich and Death to Smoochy. Death to Smoochy was so good, but I'm a big fan of both John Cusack and John Malcovich so I went with the former. Adventure was a tough one, it was a tossup between Harry Potter and Ocean's Eleven-Thirteen, and I went with Harry Potter because I can't choose a favorite Ocean's movie. It's always a tossup between Ocean's Eleven and Ocean's Thirteen for my favorite, soooo I went with my hands down favorite potter movie. Classic and Comedy were the easiest choices, it's so obvious. Hahaha.

Worst 5:
All Japanese movies ever made
All Chinese movies ever made
All Korean movies ever made
All Jap Cartoon movies that were made into American live action (This includes Transformers, Speed Racer, Dragonball, and so on)
All movies that focus more on making a statement than making a good movie (like A Clockwork Orange, pi, Requiem for a Dream, and so on)

people still wonder why oni trolls jon so much?

"Even the second one"? The third one is the one that reeked the most. "here watch a generic CG mech vs robot tentacle rape alien shootout involving characters you don't give a shit about, also Neo vaguely saving the world or something"

The second one had that pointless party scene which pretty much cancels out anything redeeming about that movie

Yeah but the third one had that pointless 75% of the movie, and like two scenes actually in the Matrix

TRUE. Matrix 3 doesn't make the list basically, I should have made that more clear. I don't have any hate for the 3rd one (just disappointment), but really it's the second one that everybody makes fun of. The Colonel Sanders TV Disco scene might well be one of my most-watched movie moments ever.

That scene was completely acceptable. And frankly if I was about to fight an army of flying robot octorocks in my post apocalyptic underground city, and morpheus was all like "get down" I would dance so hard. I reckon we all would.

Hahaha. I just don't get why everybody keeps on kung fu fighting, even after becoming god-like beings in the matrix world.

both kill bill movies in the $1 theater with a hobo in the seat in front of us and a sassy black chick behind us who laughed inappropriately at very nearly every scene in the film

That's my top ONE list, baby (both movies become combined for the sake of this list okay)

I guess I've had a crush on Keanu Reeves ever since Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. Anyway I'm going to throw a ZION RAVE PARTY and then we'll see who deals with what!

I like how between Matrix 1 and 2, Agents go from being the scary OMG RUN AWAY guys to fodder for anyone they encounter. It's like EVERYONE became as super as Neo.
