A little over 120 songs. Possibly a Beatmania IIDX Best Hits? I mean, they fit 100+ on EXTREME with lots of space to spare, and EMPRESS isn't mentioned anywhere here. Godai, was it in the list? Usually the new style is included w/revivals.

Also Grey you own a PS2 and that has USB ports. Usually companies keep things if they work, are cheap, and aren't a bad idea.

Still crossing fingers for no xbox, that would be the worst decision for me and for konami.

Still, it's kind of weird how many recent songs they put into the game. It reminds me of 7th style, where half the song list felt like a mini-"best hits" game of various 1st-6th style songs.

That sounds a lot like GF/DM V, V2, and V3 CS, in addition to the masterpiece games. V3 was a great sendoff....

pop'n FEVER was not. Bring out Adventure and we'll have a deal konami.

I dunno, I thought the Vs had pretty standard revival lists.

I felt like they were all really significant songs though, not weird crap that not many people play like BALLAD FOR YOU in IIDX or ONDO in pop'n

For what it's worth:

4200 MB / 95 songs = 44.2 MB/song, the absolute limit, and Bad Routine lost its video because it was that close

7400 MB / 180 songs = 41.1 MB/song, yeah right, unless tons of videos are lost

It'll never fit on any type of DVD. It's either 2 discs (possibly two separate SKUs) or next gen. Next gen would suck.
* PS3 - I don't want one, and it can be region locked. You can program a Japanese disc can not to boot on a North American PS3.
* 360 - I want one, but not a JP one. Although a USB converter should work.
* Wii - I don't want a second one. Although a device that maps the PS2's 'pins' to the GCN's 'pins' would work if Konami included a driver in the game software. (Fuck it. Build a new controller.)

I'm guessing that they're going to use this as a sort of poll to see which songs get revived. Whichever songs people actually play will be the ones they revive maybe? That, or they'll finally implement a feature that interacts with your save files from the 13 previous games.

Bad Routine was missing it's video in 8th Style IIRC.

So all we need is the EMPRESS songs? Good, because honestly the only song in the revival list that desperately needs revival is CYO.

How could new songs possibly not be a good thing? I don't see you saying "unless they give it away for free, Empress CS couldn't possibly be a good thing"

DLC is the reason why Rock Band is a terrible tournament game, and hacking is why ITG tournaments have to be strictly regulated (which is arguably the same thing). It breaks the competitive nature of the game and turns it into something that forces more casual play (thanks to competitive gamers not being able to buy all DLCs and not knowing every single chart like the back of their hand) ruining tournament gameplay. Why do we not see game-altering (as in not SF4 costumes, but new characters or revisions) pay-for-use DLC on fighters? Because IT BREAKS THE GAME. Then you have to go through the trouble of saying every DLC song will be on the game, or this or that one will be on, and because people don't want to have their money wasted, they'll push for more DLC songs in tournaments which will give players without that extra $10 for whatever songs a disadvantage in a tournament.

In short, DLC breaks competitive play and it shouldn't exist in competitive music games or fighters if it alters that competitive play in any way. I'm sure BBH and other fighter buffs would agree from the fighter standpoint as well.

DLC seems like it would cause the needless bitching in the first place. Regardless, I wouldn't allow DLC at a tournament. It just gives people that chance to complain that they have spent $X on song Y and now they can't use song Y in tournament Z. I'd rather Konami not go down that route at all. I don't like the idea of paying for DLC because Konami or whatever company should have just included it in the game in the first place; I'm pretty sure all the DLC songs for Rock Band or Rock Band 2 could fit on a Blu-Ray (and probably should have), but then what do the 360 users get (opening a whole new bag of goldfish)? It's just bad management and planning by companies and they decide to make a buck off of their mistakes and oversights.

It's one of the only good hypers in TROOPZ. It doesn't suffer from post-RED another syndrome, where konami doesn't give a shit about the hyper.

If by "doesn't give a shit" you mean "doesn't make it impossible" then I'm okay with that >_>

Well I meant something along the lines of "doesn't make charts like THE SAFARI and RISLIM anymore". Basically hypers that use most of the sounds in the song. VOX comes pretty close, and the hyper chart is actually fun unlike the another.

So basically what you're saying is that the Hyper should have been the another. People who play mostly Hyper do not find VOX UP very fun at all. =P

It shouldn't even have an another. The another is just dumb imo.

Judging from everything he's passed, I don't think Gabe's got problems with it due to the difficulty.

Yeah, I really think the another chart is annoying though. It's hard to score on and the scratches through most of the song don't make a lot of sense to me.

As for those who claim it's OML:

Stop complaining about the easiest part of OML [a]'s ending.

I'm of the opinion that Sense 07 is the only 12 out of all the hypers, I had like no trouble passing any of the other ones ever. And to think Sense 07 was on a more recent style makes it more surprising to me that I couldn't.

Hey guys what is going on with the song list? did they change it or announce what it's gonna be on yet? IIRC the collection started recnetly.

Wow.

INFERNO, garden, gekkou, D.A.N.C.E, scorp, Lucy, OML, lights, moon_child, quasar, Really Love, Blame, LOVE IS ORANGE, xenon, LOVE WILL..., and Holic all on one disc. This is probably the best IIDX game there's ever been thanks to that alone, not to mention the other disc full of other revivals.

Feel the Light is awesome.

NaHaNaHa vs. Gatchoon Battle should be revived simply because LED kept using it for his answer in the DOLCE thing. I'm pretty sure it was before that youngster's time and needs a black chart harder than MENDES to crush his hikikomori ass.
